A TALE OF TWO CITIES

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…"

Since the beginning of the decade and with massive help from the fans, the band has released three major studio albums, performed with a world-famous symphony orchestra (CBSO), toured in Europe, the USA and Japan and found a vocalist who would lead the band in a different direction. RJG won the Visionary Award in the Progressive Music Awards.

Against all this, RJG was diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s and decided to retire, the band fought and won a costly series of court battles against Gerald Palmer’s music companies, lost the vocalist, found Dominic Tofield.

Says RJG; "Now The Enid are three young lives, building on a rich and abundant past living and doing music fulltime together. They have years ahead of them to mature and grow. There is no rush. The world is in flux and so is The Enid”
