ON TOUR WITH THE BAND & CREW
With our Road to Symphony Hall tour The Enid has taken a big step forward in the look and feel of the stage shows. We have striven to make the whole experience of being there with us more visually striking and engaging. The band have a huge new back-drop. Max and Jason have created and programmed a state-of-the-art computerised lighting system which syncs to the music. We have also selectively introduced smoke. Coupled with the lighting, this creates some truly striking images of the band in action, particularly of Max, Jason and Nick. Some of these have been captured in the photos below which have been taken by our fans in the audience. I hope you will enjoy them. Our play list has also been extended to include a rousing encore. Here is how some of the fans have reacted to what they have seen over the past few weeks....

After various tribulations associated with moving the website to a new service provider it is now working very well. Max Read has been on a steep learning curve and has transformed himself into a "Joomla Nerd"! The new integrated forum and shop within the main site pulls all visitors to one place; a one-stop-shop for everyone, with a special download section and Box Office for Enidi Members. Registration is now streamlined and the whole site is much easier to navigate. Why not take a look and let us know what you think. Over the coming weeks and months you will see many improvements and enhancements including a complete overhaul of the downloadable Archive for Enidi Members, a revolving play-list Enid Juke Box & a comprehensive download section on The Enid Shop. |
BOOTLEGS:There are now many very poor quality bootlegs and unauthorised cheap copies of Enid Albums out there floating around on Amazon and eBay etc causing complaints & disappointment damaging to the band's reputation.
To be safe, order only from our shop or buy at The Enid's Gigs where the band will be happy to sign them for you.
TEASERS:An enormous thank you to all for a massive response to this survey. We will be publishing the results in the next communication. |

TRUE MUSIC LOVERS"It take hundreds of hours of creative work costing many thousands of pounds to produce an album like Journey's End. The days of big record companies spending money on expensive works of art are long gone. Nor is there an Arts Council willing to support this sort of thing on the grounds that there are apparently sufficient commercial avenues available. Yet we now we live in a world where most people don't want to pay for music when they can download from the Internet for free. This state of affairs has led to vast choice from a vast mountain of largely shallow drivel produced on the cheap. The only place funding can possibly come from is the fans. They will need to be true music lovers and be ready to step collectively into the shoes of good old fashioned patronage to support the future of band's like The Enid. Elsewise the likes of us and all those other potential bands of the future with big ideas and intelligent imaginative music in their hearts will die out. Join The Enidi - help to create something that will last - make a little history" Robert John Godfrey 2011 MORE THAN JUST A FAN CLUBThe Enidi is the official fan club for of The Enid funded by a modest annual subscription. It has an ever growing membership who share a common love for The Enid, past and present and the unique musical style the band have pioneered over more than three decades. The aims are to help promote and support The Enid in their efforts to be able to put on the best possible shows in the finest venues in front of an ever growing audience. THE TRYST - WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER
The Largest Pipes of a great Pipe Organ provide The Rock - the Solid Foundation upon which the music is built; and are fewer in number.
The Smaller Pipes are much more numerous and provide the Thrilling Textures and Rich Harmonics without which the music would be very dull.
The Enidi and the band together are like such a great creative instrument. As the successor to The Stand, The Enidi is now more important than ever.
In an age where word of mouth and social networks dominate, it is the band's fans who will dictate what becomes of The Enid.
Lots more love coming your way,
