Announcing New Plans For Future Live Shows

The Enid will be carrying their own production for all seated venues in the upcoming shows.

This is a really big step up.

You can expect to see:

  • A new set including material not played live since the 1970’s
  • A proper lighting show synchronised with the music now being designed by Matt King who is our new Lampie
  • New backdrops and projections
  • The first performances with a permanent ten piece choir to be known as “The Northampton Decibelles” to take some of the load off Max’s vocoder and really nail the dynamics of vocal arrangements.
  • Four trumpeters from the Irish Guards to be know as “Seraphim Trompetiers” who will bring a whole new dimension to the orchestral aspects of the bands sound.

The Enidi Chorus

We plan to recruit regional choirs drawn from The Enidi members who, once they have been “checked out” and taught their parts, will be able to show up on an ad hoc basis and perform along side The Northampton Decibelles.

By the time we all get to Symphony Hall at the end of next year we hope we will have two hundred or more lined up along the choir stalls behind the CBSO.

The New Music In The Set

Rehearsals are now underway at The Lodge to bring more of our former repertoire to the shows. New performing versions of Spring and Summer from The Spell; The Tower from ITROTSS and the title track from Something Wicked The Way Comes are certainties. We are also reintroducing some of the band’s historic encore fun with Golden Earrings, (not performed live since the 1970’s) Jerusalem, together with some new and old surprises.
