Special guest for symphony hall 2012!

After this years controversy how about choosing a more suitable guest. I suggest Bill Nelson - he now creates music very suited to an Enid show after initially gaining recognition with Be Bop Deluxe in the 70's.

Bill Nelson! A superb musician. What a great guest he would make! :D

But it would be fantastic if Robert could snare Stephen Fry next time round...

I suspect Sir Simon charges more just for hair-care products for each performance these days than the entire CBSO cost for a night. ;)

How about no special guest. For me it's about The Enid's music, and I want to see as much of that as possible. The worst thing about this year's guest, for me, was that you could have fitted in another couple of Enid songs instead. I don't see the point, unless it is clearly linked with the band's music. (gazab41 - that could be interesting)

Yeah agree. No guests, ex Enid members aside.

Maybe the "special guest" idea is too much influenced by the recent experience!
What about having a good old "opening act" instead? Maybe even two ... I remember the 86 Salome show with John Themis and Pendragon(?), so why not give one upcoming local artist a chance and then to have Secret Green? ;)
