I'd be interested in a physical product rather than a download & would definitely buy some of these

I missed these first time around as I couldn't afford them at the time. Would be keen to fill gaps in my collection and also have some alternate versions of some favourite tracks. There is some Come September material that i would be really keen to get hold of eg. Tea and toast, also the vocal version of Autumn discussed in another post. I would be happy to pay, download and burn my own compilations, I am sure that would easier for the band to administer rather than burning lots of CDs individually.

I'm with those that go for the download option - paid or not. I'm enjoying the "bonus" tracks Max is putting up from time to time and appreciate the "free gift" to members feel, but certainly with more complete rarities I'd be happy to pay. This would clearly be music for "completists" among us so a restricted market, but I guess downloads would be a practical and simple thing to set up (hopefully with some background info for each song, and maybe a downloadable cover for those of us who want to make it a physical artefact).

Sorry, but if it's downloads, count me out. I'm afraid I'm just too wedded to finding the jiffy bag on my doormat. It's exciting! And sometimes the person at Enid HQ with really beautiful handwriting addresses it! And I can rip it open & handle an actual, real physical item. Long live the Royal Mail! Long live packages postmarked Northampton!

Re: Should we re-launch the "Bespoke" CDR series?

If it is easier for the band to distribute music as downloads (assuming they are are good quality) then I am all for that. It only takes a minute to burn tracks onto a CD. (You could even post it to yourself if you wanted). However it would take the band a lot of time to burn CDs which have to be individually configured for each person depending on the tracks they wanted.

Don't get me wrong I love CDs too but in this case having a 'download shop' where you pick your tracks and download seems to be the simplest and most cost effective way of making the music available, especially given other band activities.

Downloads ? pah ! (no, actually keep doing it Max specially) CDs ? pah !
I'd like a series of compilation album on 250g vinyl compilation albums hand delivered by the band

........I'll get my coat.

Seriously , I think if the economics made sense some of the bespoke Stand rarities (even I dont have everything) from the past made available to Enidi in CD form (I like the physical form in more ways than one  ) would appeal to me where the material is different from that generally available and provided I know the economics and return for effort for the band is there. I'm not convinced it is. and if it isnt then Enidi downloads on to my PC of said stuff is a compromise and is easier for Max. I' mot interested in customised best -ofs in any form despite the good intentions.

Re: Should we re-launch the "Bespoke" CDR series?

The answer has got to be 'yes' in some form. I have several Bespoke CDs full of gems that are not available on any released album. I do believe most people are happy to download and then burn CDR or transfer to ipod or whatever. Max is already doing this in the Bonus section.

Several folk have said here that they don't do downloading, and want the CD to drop through their letterbox. Well assuming its only a few of you then I'm happy to do one or two for you myself :) I think we should avoid loading Max & the others with creating Bespoke CDs for us - they have better things to be doing...

Even better would be downloads in 48K or 96K, where those exist. Then I could create my own DVD-A versions of old Bespoke material (and the new things that come along). I would expect to pay something for the HD versions.

Re: Should we re-launch the "Bespoke" CDR series?

I bought the whole series in one go back in 1998.Still listen to them frequently, there is a plethora of alternative versions, and the tracks from the 'Alter Ego' tape that eventually surfaced on JE. Some of the live stuff is excellent and there is a smattering of unreleased tracks. Certainly those who missed out I would expect would certainly buy - I think there are ten Cd's in my set,but some of my sequencing decisions were awry - Would you believe I split the intro to Albion Fair, a delightfully funny preamble from Mr Lickerish, from the music itself.......doh !!
