Cardiff this week! Hoping the set has everything we heard at Gloucester. Spring has come a long way since December, really scintillating now. Only minus point at Gloucester was for the venue and its gaping void between stage and audience. Perhaps they had it for mixed standing/seated? The Globe looks more intimate from the pics...

Agree with you about Gloucester Paul. And I think the band found it a little strange playing to an audience they couldn't actually see. I couldn't understand why they couldn't put some tables in, cafe style, just to fill the voice. Odd venue all around.

Looking forward to Cardiff on Thursday.

Lee, I've been to every CRF since they started - I think it was 8 years ago. What do you want to know?

It's a small festival, max 3000 people, and very friendly. Same staff year after year (in fact my son is a steward there). Quiet campsite, clean flushing loos and showers. 70+ different beers. Excellent value. A weekend ticket is currently £79 for four days (or may still be £69). Around 70 different bands on too. You can take your own food and drink and chairs etc in, you don't get searched. I can't praise it enough. It's actually our main family holiday.

Last year was our first CRF and we (Bridget and I) enjoyed it immensely. Very chilled, great atmosphere, lovely people, big site, well organized, food and beer excellent...and the bands were great too!

A lot of us are staying at the Etap - which is around £40 for the night, and about 10 minutes walk away.
